There's really no other place except home that feels like Christmas to me EXCEPT New York during Christmas. I love it in the city ! So here are some things to do in New York!!!
Ralph's Coffee
The first thing I think when I Start booking our trip is RALPH'S. Seriously I have a punch card that I take every year. I have to have at least 1 cup of mint hot cocoa a day. My favorite location is the food truck right across from the church on 5th Ave. They decorate it every year and it's just the cutest thing. The cocoa is also AHMAZING. I wake up early to get this, when I walk by the church I get this and before I get on the plane I get this. So trust me you need to get this.
Rockefeller Center Iceskating
Quintessential New York Christmas activity! Ice skating in Rockefeller. Yes you can do this at Bryant Park...but it doesn't feel the same. As soon as I'm lacing up my skates , hearing everyone giggling, and feeling the breeze lift off the ice as I step out I'm home...it's officially the best Christmas ever. No gift compares to this feeling or waking up with my family on Christmas Day. And it's even better with friends!!
St. Patrick's Cathedral
Did you know that I love church? Clearly they're in almost every blog post that I've done about traveling. Truly the way I feel when I walk into a cathedral is the best feeling. The reverence I feel for old buildings and the history wrapped up in religion is my absolute favorite. If there's a church I almost always go inside. It's as if I can feel the years of prayers pouring out of the stones and no one person can take that away from me. No amount of hate or people saying I don't deserve to take up space in a church can break the way I feel about God or what churches provide for us. So I always try to attend a mass at St. Patrick's. On top of being gorgeous the gatherings are beautiful around Christmas. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.
The Met Opera
If you don't like the Opera it doesn't matter.. you will love it in New York. It just feels like opulence. Get a balcony seat! Be sure to see something you're interested in. We saw Cinderella and it was absolutely perfection. To be really fancy schedule a photoshoot after! We had the best time even in the cold!
New York Eats
My favorite places...outside of Ralph's. Fig and Olive, hands down my favorite place to try new things and the food is amazing. I love the one around the corner from St. Patrick's. I make a beeline for it after church or after skating. One if by land, two if by sea has been called the most romantic restaurant in New York. I completely agree! We went after the Met and I had the beef Wellington...my goodness I ate the entire thing it was so good! Honorable mention to a fun place to eat Route 66 ! We had a fun date night eating outside in a bubble tent. The apple cider is a MUST have. Also Bryant Parks outdoor food court is a fun place to try all kinds of food.I love the doughnuts and the asian steamed buns!

So have I convinced you to go yet? If not take a look at this pure joy! It was freezing cold and we still were having the best time taking our pictures.
